My passion is in developing strong relationships and using my expertise to make a positive impact on every client. As an audit partner, I have over 25 years of experience helping organizations of all types and sizes. However, my main focus is on nonprofit organizations and financial institutions. My audit approach blends technical accuracy with practical solutions. I also manages the firm’s tax-exempt division, where I assist nonprofits in obtaining and maintaining tax-exempt status, including filing of Form 990’s.

I am also in charge of quality control for the Audit department. I ensure that all regulations are followed, monitor new accounting and auditing standards, lead implementation and research efforts both internally and for clients, and teach internal and external seminars. I strive for transparency and practicality as I sort through the complexities inherent in technical regulations.

Personal

I grew up on the east side of South Dakota and am a University of South Dakota graduate – go Yotes! Rapid City has been my home since 1994 and I can’t see myself living anywhere else. Although I was never one to play sports (I was a cheerleader in high school), I’m a huge baseball fan and would love to visit every MLB ballpark. My husband Noel and I have four grown kids who all live in different states, so many of our travels revolve around family. We love vacationing and would do it full-time if we could!

My favorite evening pastime is settling in with a good book or movie and a glass of wine. I enjoy long walks, soaking in the sunshine, adding birds to my life list, playing card and board games, chocolate, and ice cream. If I should ever win the lottery, I would start a charitable foundation and support all the causes that are near and dear to my heart!
